TPSA’s drone competitions are returning for the 2026–2027 school year! Drone NIST and Drone Search and Rescue will be offered exclusively at the 2027 State Conference, and both competitions will take place entirely indoors.
Following feedback from last year’s competitions, we are revising the drone events and updating their scoring rubrics. Search and Rescue will see the most significant changes, with a substantial redesign of the event and a complete rewrite of its guidelines and rubric.
These updates are still in development, which is why the revised event materials are not yet available on the website. We know students and advisors are eager to begin preparing, and we appreciate your patience while this work continues. Chapters planning to participate should carefully review the updated materials once published, especially given the changes coming to Search and Rescue.
